I was looking at the box score and overlooked the starters because who would've thunk. After a few seconds and not seeing his name it finally clicked...MONEY STARTED! Played the most minutes of his NBA reg. season so far. That being said, he was rather ineffective on offense. Maybe he shut down S. Marion on defense (doubt it) but I just can't imagine any other reason to keep him in for 19+ minutes.

Good job Steve. You make us all proud!

hmmm.. just looking at the stats I am thinking.. 19 minutes.. 6 points.. 2-5 from 3pt land.. that's not TERRIBLE.. if you doubled his minutes (and therefore points) to try and compare to the rest of the starters he'd be better than battier and right about on par with Alston.. his 3pt. percentage is also about on par with everyone else (which is actually a disappointment knowing that should be his shining point).. bad news is he was the only one who contributed NOTHING on rebounds.  Offensively I could see that if they had him roaming the perimeter the whole time but defensively it's hard to justify.  A steal and no turnovers is decent.

great to see......Novak as an NBA starter, that's amazing

Congrats, but I really would have liked 5 or 6 boards.  That's what Van Gundy needs to keep him in the regular rotation.  Zero won't cut it.
