Here we go again. I made a thread like this last season before we hosted DePaul, and we all know what happened. Is this the year Wojo finally sweeps DePaul? Can we continue to protect home court in Big East play and beat a terrible DePaul team? This is a MUST win considering the road doesn't get any easier. These are games we absolutely need to handle business. Hope to see everybody at the BC.

Just win baby.

So why would you make the thread this year?

Depaul has tall guards and no post play to speak of.   An odd match-up.  Actually have 5 switchables, more or less.  Going to be interesting to see if they post up our tiny point guards.

No way Markus lets us lose this game

GGGG

I think Leitao is a better coach than he is given credit for.  I think he can make this game difficult.

If this is true, I'm really pissed at him for letting us lose 5 times already!

I think Leitao is a good X's and O's guy, but Kenpom has this at a 17 point victory and gives DePaul a 7% chance of winning the game. For comparison sake, he gives MU a 22% chance, 22% chance and 30% chance @ Butler, @ Creighton and Villanova.

So using KenPom (not the holy grail by any means) we have at least a 3X better chance of winning any of those 3 games than DePaul has of winning on Saturday.

They have Garrett and Cain, who are tough, but outside of that they really don't have much. I expect an ugly game like it always is vs, DePaul, but we pull away to win by 12-15.

Totally agree.  He's solid.

I think Leitao will get them more competitive, but this is one we should absolutely win at home. Still too much Purnell leftovers on the roster.

We would both be 2-3 in conference , if DePaul won. We are better, but we should expect the game to be competitive.
