I think he will be approved to play the entire 17-18 season. Unfortunately, the NCAA will take until December 18th to decide.

There is no basis in the appeal and it's extremely unlikely, unless he left SMU because the President was physically abusing him nightly.

See ya in December, Harry!
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

If Dawson lost a whole year based on four minutes of playing time...

His highlights start about a minute and a half in.  He's a big boy and is pretty strong.  Can handle and pass it.  Hope he keeps attacking the rim and doesn't settle for jumpers at MU.

I like that he's got a chip on his back.  Hopefully Todd keeps him in the gym for the next 11 months.

Hopefully Todd will get that Chip back on his shoulder, where it belongs.

Likely that he went to SMU thinking Larry Brown would be his coach.

Don't know how likely; but I'd venture not very. Interested to hear from Jay Bee and others what they think.
Jamal McKay appealed and was denied, even though he did not play.
Someone posted awhile ago that Dawson appealed and his appeal was granted. The difference might be that Wojo did not play him at all. Also, I wonder if MU played a role in McKay and Dawson's appeals. Bascially not agreeing to McKay and agreeing to Dawson. Otherwise, I do not know why one was allowed and one was not. Given that Froling played this season, I do not think he has a chance of his appeal being granted. However, that is just my gut feeling.

Think his ceiling and comp will be Jarrod Lovette, who was a solid player at MU.   Yet if some think Luke is slow laterally, and a liability in pick and roll D - Froling appears heavier of foot to me than Luke.

Dawson's appeal was not granted.  At least not yet.  He is listed as a senior on Liberty's roster.

He was played by Wojo.

Whoa, jarrod lovette much quicker afoot than luke.  Jarrod, while, not on great teams was a very fine player in the middle of his career.

Left a good job in the city
Workin' for the man ev'ry night and day
And I never lost one minute of sleepin'
Worryin' 'bout the way things might have been
Big wheel keep on turnin'
Proud Mary keep on burnin'
Frolin', frolin', frolin' on the river
Cleaned a lot of plates in Memphis
Pumped a lot of pane down in New Orleans
But I never saw the good side of the city
'Til I hitched a ride on a river boat queen
Big wheel keep on turnin'
Proud Mary keep on burnin'
Frolin', frolin', frolin' on the river
Frolin', frolin', frolin' on the river
If you come down to the river
Bet you gonna find some people who live, hey?

Huh, according this article Harry said we were heavily involved with him before he committed to SMU. I don't remember us recruiting him but good to know the relationships were still strong.

Love hearing him talk about the strength and conditioning program. He seems to have a great commitment to working on his body. Todd Smith, do your thing.

You're clueless on multiple points. There's a diff between appealing to have a year of eligibility granted and an appeal to not sit out the required year in residence

Dawson had no case and his request was dismissed. There's nothing known that would indicate Froling has a prayer of not sitting out a year
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.
