Another example of globalization, looks like we are an ideal opportunity for the young man.  Come play for a coach who understands basketball from an international perspective.

Genuinely curious, what does understanding basketball from an international perspective mean and how does Froling stand to benefit from that?

This guy just talks out of his ass. Froling has been discussed in detail in the recruiting thread.

Because, many players end up on international teams, and Mr. Froling is from Australia, and our coach has a lot of international experience.

And Mr. Froling is now a serious prospect and not just on the board.

Vogue may be "off the wall" at times - as we all can be - but offers a different perspective than the status quo drivel that we hear 95% of the time.

While you see what is in front of your face, he sees the world. Not attacking or defending..... just sayin'.

You could have just put this on the recruiting thread..

Hope Semi has shared with Harry his recruiting relationship with Wojo, and semi's time at Duke.

Maybe a positive factor in getting him here.

Except Semi transferred from Duke, so he might not have the fuzziest feelings about Wojo. Or he might not. I have no idea.

Semi main reason as most transfers,  was playing time, and with all his incoming credentials  not unreasonable for that though.

If  anything, I  think it would more likely be towards Coach K (similar to Rasheed Sulaimon) as opposed to Wojo.  Also maybe the 2 years at Duke weren't so bad.

Marquette might not beat Villanova Saturday.  Then again, we might not.

See how that works?  :P

Com' on.  Clearly, TAMU Eagle meant Semi might not might not.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

SMU transfer Harry Froling to visit Marquette
2:09 p.m. CT Jan. 5, 2017

http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/college/marquette/2017/01/05/smu-transfer-harry-froling-visit-marquette/96209944/

Harry Froling, a 6-foot-11 freshman center who on Dec. 12  announced his intention to leave SMU's men's basketball team and transfer, will visit Marquette this coming Sunday and Monday. The visit was first reported by Scout.com's Evan Daniels and was later confirmed by the Journal Sentinel.

Froling's decision to visit Marquette comes as something of a surprise. The Australian told his hometown newspaper, the Townsville Bulletin, in Townsville, Queensland, on Dec. 29 that his decision was between Oregon State and the University of Dayton. His decision to visit Marquette came at Dayton's expense.

According to Froling, the fit at SMU just wasn't right. The former four-star recruit committed to play for the Mustangs while Hall of Famer Larry Brown was still the head coach. Brown left his position in early July, shortly after Froling's arrival on campus.

No matter where Froling decides to transfer, he must sit out for a year under NCAA rules. He will be eligible to play again after the fall semester during the 2017-'18 season and would be considered a sophomore.

I usually don't buy into the whole, "Let's hope there's nice weather for his visit!" deal, but this weather is painful for me and I've lived in Milwaukee my entire life.  I can't imagine the shock his body will go through when he arrives in Milwaukee if the weather remains like this...

vogue is an idiot. Avalanche is an a$$hole. The difference is slight yet significant.

Looks like a photo from a Florida retirement community.  You can tell the drinker is from Wisconsin, it's the brandy.  Anyone who can't handle Milwaukee weather is a wimp.
