Da 'Lanche

I was at the Seton Hall vs. Creighton game last night (I have a daughter at Creighton).    They had a great environment even with the students away at break.    Creighton is very very good this year...great guards and a developing young big man who redshirted last year and is getting better by the minute.   Anyway, getting a look at Seton Hall in person was enlightening.   They are tough...physically and mentally.    The game was a lot closer than the final score and if Delgado would not have picked up a cheap 3rd foul early in the second half it may have turned out differently.    Their big 3 of Delgado, Rodriquez and Carrington are a load and they are going to be difficult on Sunday.    It struck me that the Big East is really tough this year when teams like Seton Hall are middle of the pack.    So, methinks if we can split with them I will be happy.    Assuming we lose at Villanova, that would put us at 2-2 to start the conference season, and, frankly, I would take that in a heartbeat.

Delgado will be a beast so Luke will have to re-channel how he played last night to contain him...they rebound really well.   They also got back into the game really quickly at the start of the 2nd half as they scored in bunches following really solid defensive stands.   Should be a good measuring stick for us on the road to see where we may stack up in the Big East hierarchy.   Go MU!

By the way, as an aside, Creighton lets their students in free to all games which helps drive the attendance and environment...when the students are on break they give the student tickets to high schoolers...for free.   I think they had just under 18k there last night and it was pretty rocking for sweater vests.    I'll be back on the 21st to watch MU upset them...
