Sunday, Mrs. 82 and I are going to friends' house for breakfast. Yes, bagels and whatnot - such a damn cliche. Then we'll probably go to the movies and maybe out for Chinese. Cliche, cliche, cliche.

Monday, we're taking our pup to the dog park to meet a friend and her dog.

So, as you can see, it's gonna be a wild and festive weekend for the atheists in the room.

Oh, and by the way, in Chicago visiting relatives.  My nephew got his acceptance letter today to MU.  Opened it up with me.  Cool.

Yep.  They sent them a couple weeks earlier than last year.  One advantage to having fewer applicants.

My son got his today, with a Pere Marquette scholarship. Very proud.  It was a nice moment for dad and son, even if I think he is likely going elsewhere.

Merry Christmas from the firehouse. My gift is being mandated to work tomorrow. Okay...that's not the gift, the real gift is the lieutenant in the next office volunteering to work the second half of the shift so I'm only forced to work 12.
