Everyone on scoop is saying Temple, I can see that. I don't really know where else he would go if he wants to stay home.

He could also go to LaSalle, St. Joes or Drexel if he wants to be right in Philadelphia.  Maybe Penn too.  And there are numerous colleges close that would work too.

Probably nova.
It was a slow play by Jay Wright to get inside info on MU a la the Wake Forrest Scandal.

Lehigh maybe, Pitt

So I guess Philly is being mentioned because its his home and has family and friends....it sounds like a good move....some good basketball options. Wherever he goes they will be happy to get him.

note: Liberty is a nice place to go to school.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Lockett wanted to be close to home (Minny) so he chose Marquette.

By the same reasoning, Tracy can be close to home by transferring to Boston College, Old Dominion or anywhere in between.

Much more likely to go to Penn State than Pitt. Pitt is not close to Philly....sure it's closer to Philly than Marquette but it's quite the hike still, whole mountain range in between and all  ;D

In what way?

I know its off-topic...but nice campus, everyone I've met that has gone there have been pleasant people (every school has their best and worst). Cost is about $10K less than MU...but private so still $$. Some academic areas are really good. I have a friend going to Med school there...know another who got an advanced law degree and works for a good firm after undergrad at Liberty. Sports are that third tier division 1...Its a Christian School with a devout culture so if you don't like that, you might not like the school. I don't have a daughter but would send her there...not been that confident about MU lately. Note: my son went to MU and had a great experience...not my purpose to knock MU...just Liberty has a nice atmosphere...was glad to hear Dawson landed there.

ah yes, a nice christian school for your daughter...where the president of the university states, "I've always thought if more good people had concealed carry permits, then we could end those Muslims before they walked in killing." if that's christianity...count me out.

i also wouldn't send my daughter to any school where the president of the university openly defended trumps comments about women...but i guess we have differing opinions on how we would support our daughters.

I've heard stuff like this before. Falwell has said some things that are grating. He's not my hero. I agree. But is he so evil ... are you so much better than him?  Do you really vilify the people at Liberty.
I wonder if you are a hater...if you are...I can't say anything else (and won't after this post). I hope you aren't a hater. You think Falwell is...but are you?

I stand by what I say...nice school, nice people, great place for my (virtual  :) ) daughter.

You also said "if that's christianity...count me out."  I've heard that a lot. What is the Christianity that you want to be counted "in" on? Remember in any definition to include Jesus Christ...what are some of the things that he taught that you like? And what was that Death and Resurrection thing all about anyway. (food for thought don't have to respond).

off topic...off topic...off topic... I know...and making some people uncomfortable (I hope)

If all the people that profess to be Christians actually lived by the teachings of Jesus Christ, this would be a radically different world.

This post is making me feel dumber for reading it. Something tells me the reason you said daughter has to do with the absurd regulating of physical contact between guys and girls... if it wasn't you would have said so about your son as that's a kid you actually have.

Anyways this thread is gonna get locked up quick.

Yes.  Yes, I am.  Without question.  I don't hate people based on their religion or sexual orientation as they are taught to do there.

And I'll say no more.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that this was one of the easiest questions you were asked in 2016 and i'm including "do you want to order pizza for dinner?" and "can i get you another beer while i'm up?" in that assessment.
