In the late 80's, we had robotic drink and French fry systems operational at McDonalds along with self-ordering kiosks. Also had an order accuracy scale at the drive through that could tell if an order was wrong based on the ring and weight.  They all worked perfectly.  A few of these systems still exist but they break and cannot replace people.  More so, people go to the store or restaurant to socialize as they are lonely.

Ever go to the deli counter on a Saturday?

I understand and agree with you, somewhat. Here's the thing though. If it's cost-prohibitive to keep an employee vs a machine, especially where the machine is more efficient/accurate, you're going to lose the employee through the employer's decision.

This has been in the works ever since RF tech really took off.  Frankly, I'm surprised it took this long for someone to actually do it.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Unemployed people, especially young men, create instability and civil unrest, a concept probably beyond the comprehension of engineers and accountants.  Good news for lawyers and jailers.

I believe the first part of the question is what do young, unemployed women do while the young, unemployed men are out creating civil unrest.  Not sure I picked up on the last part... something about unemployment leading to hoof & mouth disease perhaps?

My rocket de-coder ring says that he was trying to call someone else out for sticking their foot in their mouth and potentially offending others - you know because he has experience there.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I am more interested in getting my order quickly and correct.
