best way to buy tickets to away game
« on: November 29, 2016, 02:38:03 PM »
I'm planning to attend the Georgetown game while visiting family in D.C. I'm having a hard time finding any Marquette-related info on how to buy tickets. Should I just buy myself directly from ticketmaster or whatever or will there be some way to buy tickets allotted by Marquette so that I can sit by MU people? Been a while since I attended an away game.

You can try here: http://marquette.edu/alumni/

Usually I just buy through Ticketmaster / StubHub / Seat Geek as I try to attend my home games when they play @ Seton Hall or @ St. John's.

In past years you could email the athletic dept. with the game(s) you were interested in, and generally, if they have tickets available, they will contact you a couple weeks before the game (allocation is based on priority points).  Not sure if they still do that or not, or how that's worked out for anyone.  Most often, you're better off buying direct early in the season or off a resale site closer to the date.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Plenty of seats for this game.  MU usually has a big allotment but the seats are uppers but together. Much better seats in the club or lower bowl through GT AD.  DC MU Alumni Club usually hosts at Clyde's pre-game.  I think Penn Quarter Sports Bar is the official tavern but that may have changed. Good dive bar. Lots of MU fans, especially with the Aspin Center located there.

Downside is Gtown AD will spam you more than Marquette's.
