Contrary to popular opinion, I like this thread (as long as it's contained to just this one). It's cool to see how former players are doing.

The guy has no basketball skill whatsoever, but he sure is an athlete!  Since Walter's feelings got hurt too bad, maybe Deonte would take his full track and field scholarship and he can become the AA high jumper Walter was supposed to be here?

1 assist, 4 turnovers (and this from a guy who doesn't handle the rock!), one bricked jumper after another, and defensive lapse after defensive lapse! Good thing he can dunk and rebound!

And 10 boards.

Now unlike Burton, there's a guy with some actual basketball skill that would've really helped this team. Too bad he had a girlfriend back West.

I thought he didn't show up because we recruited over him pretty much right after he signed.

It was a little of both.

We could have used Steve last season.......too bad he didn't want to stay and backup Henry and Luke.

actually, we could use him this year as well.  stevo plays bigger than he's listed.  we need a little more muscle underneath

It was telling that one person commented that a more stunning video would be to see Deonte either passing the ball or playing defense

Derrickesque.  Except Derrick was doing it against high majors, not a team that is projected to go 6-25 and finish 7th in the 31st strongest basketball conference.

John seemed like a quality person, feel kind of bad seeing his stats thrown out there, especially as things like facts will never sway the opinions of Ners and Tex/Gus/MUFINY

Could have redshirted here instead of Toledo and we'd have a banger at PF this year instead of an undersized chucker

He showed absolutely no ability to contribute at the high major level in 3 seasons.  He's at the level he should be at.

Wasnt healthy most of the time.

We saw glimpses of his ability. The guy had a 20 point game against Ohio State. He also had 17 boards against a St. John team that made the tournament .

He is now finally healthy and doing very good things.

'Teve could have been a great role player on our team - I always thought the problem was he wanted to be the star.

Interesting insight. I never thought of him that way. Maybe that was the problem with him.

His lack of skill and athleticism were the real problems.

I'm pretty sure Toledo has also played some not so good teams
