Noticed there wasn't a thread for the NBA yet. Might as well get it cracking with this gem.

Thon Maker is averaging 288 points per 48 minutes.  Is he the best player to ever walk this planet?

Lol @ Enis Kanter putting up a 0 across the stat line (besides for his 1 missed field goal) but trying to chirp KD as he sits at 29 points in the 1st half.

Yes.

Didn't watch the Bucks last night, but scrolling back through my twitter feed afterward, I saw in order:

  • Thon closing the game with two 3's
  • Jabari going 4-6 from 3
  • Monroe took a charge

What team is this??

Haha yup.  Delly had to sit more than usual with foul trouble and our offense finally went off.  Brogdon looks like he's going to be a really solid player.  That was a great pick.

I like the Snell move a lot.  So far he has played within himself and not tried to do too much.  He knows what he is and while he's not by any means a star (or even really a good starting caliber player) he fits much better with this Bucks team than MCW did.

My favorite thing about Kevon Looney is that his wikipedia page was obviously written by his parents.

That was the other possibility, but I figured not since it doesn't look like a cat walked across a keyboard and hit "submit."

If they can tread water until Middleton comes back after the holidays,  this team could be a tough 1st round team to play in the payoffs (assuming the Bucks are 5th, 6th,  or 7th seed).

Agreed.  I wasn't overly pleased with the offseason moves but the Snell moved helped a lot.  Brogdon is going to be a solid player point guard option in the future and Delly will have a role.  If Moose can play well enough to be worth another role guy then going forward you're looking at Brogdon/Delly, Middleton/Snell/Brogdon/Vaughn, Giannis/Snell, Parker/Telle (maybe Thon in the future?), and then hopefully draft a center with Henson/Plumlee.  If Parker can shoot it well enough to draw his defender out and then use the blow by there's enough shooting on the court to where you can spread the floor enough to let Giannis reach his superstar potential (I know Giannis is young and still can develop a jumper but I just don't see it as a potential skill of his.  So much herk and jerk in his form, it's not just a jumper that needs more reps/consistency, it's just broken).

Yes.  But that doesn't mean he's "runnin a little nice stat sheet of his own in Oakland."

For him comin' off both hip surgeries, it really is. West and Kerr are down wit 'im, but he's gotta put up some stats ta get that life-alterin' second contract, ai na?

In no situation has 2 points and 2 boards ever been considered "runnin a little nice stat sheet of his own" in the NBA.  Coming off injury, being the 13th man on the best team in the NBA, being 20  years old, etc. might all contribute to why there is no "little nice stat sheet" for him, but it is not a "little nice stat sheet."

It'd be like saying Sam Dekker has had a great NBA career.
