I know my uncle told me a lot of people dislike us because apparently we're more apt to hire a Marquette grad who's less qualified than a more qualified non MU grad. Never heard a nickname though

Probably Marquette Mafia.

And he is wholeheartedly wrong.  Marquette professionals are well represented and well respected within the Milwaukee business community.  Evidence:  Pretty much every major Milwaukee area corporation recruits on the Marquette campus.

Wouldn't take that as a derogatory nickname most Colleges / Universities with strong Alum base / bonding get that reference so nothing there. They really like Brewtown  ;D

One of my faves.

I especially love the part where he brags about them getting Butler.

While the A-10 got to enjoy Butler's one season there - 2012-13 - we were enjoying our Elite Eight run. A few months later, we were enjoying poaching Butler from the A-10.

And ever since then, we've got to enjoy Dayton all but begging for a Big East invite.

Hopefully, UDPride has been enjoying his crow fried, roasted, sauteed and fricasseed!
