Well, you still have a shot with Duke.  That was a Bucky butt kicking of epic proportions.

GGGG

Bucky's got something that looks like a quarterback.

Good, ol' fashioned, ass kickin' laid on Sparty, ai na?

1. Crap!!! I had to work this afternoon and I thought about DVRing the ND game but I figured there was no way possible they'd even play a close game against a Duke team that lost by double-digits to Wake Forest and Northwestern. So I didn't record it and now I won't get to see it. Although there should be plenty of highlights on College Football Tonight and the like.

2. Otherwise, quite pleased by this. Notre Dame losing at home to a bad Duke team. Hilarious.

3. Is Brian Kelly on the hot seat? That might sound absurd, but both Ty Willingham and Charlie Weis got off to fast starts that quickly catapulted them into godlike status before they came crashing to earth. I really don't know the answer to this question because I don't follow ND super closely, but I'd imagine his seat would be considerably hotter than, say, Wojo's.

If we could convince the mods to spend some of the money from our outrageous membership fees on uniforms, we could form a MUScoop team and give 'em a run for their money.

I'll play the Edelman role.

Then again, if targeting hits like the one in the UCLA vs. Stanford game just now continue to go uncalled I have no interest in stepping anywhere near a football field.  Scary stuff.  Even scarier was it was reviewed and they still came to the conclusion that it wasn't targeting.

Just occurred to me - 4 or 5 more losses and ND might not make the Sugar Bowl....

3 losses knocks Notre Dame out of most of the major bowls now.

Would love to see them get to the 5 loss level and then enjoy watching the wolves come out for the Coach.

I have always hoped this one way hybrid arrangement Notre Dame had with the ACC would come back to bite them in the butt.

Notre Dame was too cute by a half with this ACC arrangement. They thought they were locking in 5 easy opponents a year with the occasional tough game against Florida State or Clemson. Then schedule their other traditional games that benefited them exposure wise. Reality is that ACC football on the whole has moved up , so now Notre Dame has locked in 5 loseable  games plus all the traditional games high exposure games they are locked into.

Giving up 38 at home to Duke shouldn't happen regardless of the quality of the ACC.

NBC will be losing millions this season on these fools.

What's the arrest count this season so far on ND playe s?  5 or 6?

GGGG

NBC is making good money on Notre Dame. Low cost compared to what ABC and CBS are paying. Audiences don't need to be huge. (And last week was their largest audience in something like four years.)

Four games into the season, and the only position they have figured out is long snapper?

Sounds like a well-oiled machine....

That's a fun guessing game: Will ND have more wins or arrests this season?

Perusing the Notre Dame message boards.  They are calling for Kellly to be fired and naming all the coaches that absolutely love Notre Dame and would be honored to coach there...Chris Pedersen is being mentioned.

Pretty much the same thing that has gone on every five or six years for the last 20 years.
