With the 6'8 Bailey in the fold for 2018 (assuming he still comes), would it be wise to start looking at more switchables and 2's?

Mortenson was more recent, but O'Neal redshirted Amil McCaskil (sp) after his freshmen year and that worked out very well.

Little known fact, Amal recorded his NBA career high in his first ever game, 9 pts.  Never reached that again.  But I was amazed that he played in parts of four NBA seasons

I'd like to see a PG, I'm not a believer in Carter....he's a backup PG in my mind. Bring energy and play defense. Nice player but don't see him taking a team to the final four. Plus I would be surprised to see another 4 commit with two already coming in, everyone wants to play right away.
Looking at Athlon these team rosters have more than two 6'8" or taller frosh (Athlon does list rosters for every school):
Boston Co. 3                6'10", 6'10" 6'8"
Duke 5                        6'11", 6'10", 6'10", 6'8", 6'8"
Uconn 3                       6'9", 6'8", 6'8"
Rhode Island 3             6'10", 6'9" 6'8"
George Washington 3    6'10", 6'9", 6'9"
Kansas 3                      7'0", 6'8", 6'8"
Kansas St 3                  7'0", 6'10", 6'10"
West Virginia 4             6'11", 6'10", 6'8", 6'8"
Villanova 3                  6'10", 6'8", 6'8"
Iowa 3                        6'9", 6'9", 6'8"
Michigan 3                   7'0", 6'10", 6'8"
Arizona St 5                 6'10", 6'9", 6'9", 6'9", 6'9"
Utah 3                         7'0", 6'11, 6'9"
Kentucky 4                  6'10", 6'10", 6'10", 6'9"
Mississippi St. 3           6'11', 6'10", 6'9"
Missouri 3                   6'10", 6'10", 6'10"
South Carolina 3          7'1", 6'9", 6'9"
Gonzaga 4                   7'0", 6'10", 6'9", 6'8"
On the flip side counting all newcomers there were 12 teams that added one player under 6 feet and only three teams (MU, Purdue & Auburn) that added two players under 6 feet.

Is Cain able?

On the Eve of the signing deadline and at the Genesis of the issue, I don't give an Adam.  Totally apples and oranges.

We aren't recruiting point guards in this cycle and John and Eke are both more 5 then 4 at least right now. As French said about his visit " they don't really have anyone like me".....I think we will add a 4. Most teams are going to have established guys already there.....we obviously don't have that issue.

For the next 2 years, they have Carter, Howard and Rowsey.  If Carter can not do it, they have 2 others.  I can see a point for 2018 at best.

There still is room for three, if somebody decides to leave early.

Yep. Forgot about Howard. My fault. Shooting then, can't have enough shooters.

That was a gamble that didn't pay off.

I'm sad you haven't received props for this post.  It was excellent.

Thanks.    When indiscretions of MU players are discussed, for some reason MM's gambling issues never seem to get mentioned.    Maybe because he never played for MU and maybe because he was a Crean recruit.

There are only so many things that are not related to academics that can render someone ineligible with the NCAA.

Maybe it is has to do with the University taking the appropriate action in a timely fashion.

Easy call - he was a lousy player.
