This is a great interview. Like I have said this the ethic of this Young man is superb. We are getting a very good guy, even if he doesn't work out on the court he will represent the school very well.

Kudos to Wojo and company for making this happen.

"University of Marquette"  >:(

Was just going to post that the first thing we need to straighten out is the University goes after the Marquette.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Our new guy schooled the Hankster a few times there!

I thought I saw that he was going to reach out to DWade directly to ask permission.  If Wade explicitly says yes, it would be kind of dickish for the university to say no IMO.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

It's kind of dickish for Theo to ask, isn't it?  Gotta respect the process of numbers being retired and the accomplishments of DWade in getting his number retired, hey?

Eh.  He's a 17-18 year old.  He likes the number and perhaps feels he is honoring him.

tower912

No.   It is a number last worn by a player at MU when Theo was 4 years old.   DWade is cool.   And it never hurts to ask.

Plus, MU left this door cracked open By saying it is jerseys and not numbers that are retired. You'd think this came up in the recruiting process. Especially since he brought up the policy of retired uniforms. I really hope we don't go through this again.

Agreed.  I don't think it's that big a deal but I suspect it'll go away quietly and he'll end up with something like #43. (#43 isn't retired, is it?)

It is. He can have 13, 23, 33, or 53. Unless Jimmy get his number retired.
