How welcome is MU going to feel in all that sea of GREEN according to the renderings I've seen. The Domers will feel like its home if we renew the series with them.

It looks like a lot of the green is lighting - probably not a huge deal to turn to blue and gold for MU games.

At the speed that professional sports teams change their logo and colors, it would be a complete disaster to have the inside have tons of green accents.

I agree, it's all lighting.

I "flushed" a bunch of posts - though about deleting most of the thread.  But at least the arena topic has merit.

You spent too much time on 10N.  On 10S. we preferred ballet.

A buddy of mine who now flies for FedEx was dating a ballerina with the SF Ballet when we were going through the RTU at Luke. His tales of her flexibility had us spell bound.

Better give up the day job if you going to prioritize keeping Scoop threads on topic!

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Wow, this is so unrealistic. Way too many fans
Saturday Big East Games shot are more realistic. We're now talking about a 17,500 seat arena.

Is that first pic a guy or girl?  i recognize Boitano but don't know the others.

I happen to be a fan of figure skating. Beginning with the Dance of the Zamboni through the skirr of honed steel on ice to the thunderous crescendo of the crowd's adulation until, finally, a man spent from having left it all out on the sheet of honor offers heartfelt thanks through the choked tears of joy...there is nothing more riveting than this in the world of sport. Nothing.

I won't have you trivialize this most elegant sport with political sentiment. Never.

Let us not forget teeth on honed steel!

There's an old wisecrack involving ankles, perfume, and ears.  And flexibllity.

KipsBayEagle

You are getting a state of the art nba arena where you can buy a fresh beer every game (unlike 99% of all other colleges).  Stop complaining.

Reminds me of a Cobeen girl from Cleveland I dated. I warned her that honed steel was hell on teeth but comforted her with the fact that Marquette had a Dental School that could repair her broken molars

now that you mention it, i must have seen one of your conquests -molars all honed down to flat plane occlusion, very acute myo-facial pain thought it was due to severe bruxism before finals...now i have one more differential diagnostic for my tool box-thanks man.  can never rule anything out

My wife danced ballet through HS.  I'm pretty certain the "unmentioned benefits" are more psychological than physical... on both sides.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Interesting that ESLCS is going to Barclays. Hard to ignore the potential of E Sports if you're building a new arena like the Bucks are. I don't know how you consider or incorporate that setup into a sports arena, but I think the Bucks should think about amenities and layouts that cater to that crowd.

If your scoreboards are multi-function video screens that can read HDMI or DVI from a GPU, that would probably be the only prerequisite other than convertible floor space.  The promoters bring their own LANs and the players bring their own hardware, so there's probably not much as far as connectivity needs beyond what would already be in place for TV and support.
