Heldt was "underused?" Was there a big "Play Heldt" campaign I missed?

Also, why would Marquette be "Villanova North"? Aren't we a little more to the West?

Good article.  Summarizes 427,268 various posts on scoop in the past week, all hinting around these issues.  (Thanks Ners).

When you're 6'6" and you're told you'll be "guarding multiple positions," does that ever mean anything other than "you'll be guarding 4's"?

Unless they plan on switching every screen a la Villanova.  Very common in basketball today.

It is too bad Heldt was hurt the last part of the season. He was showing progress and even if he would of played only 5 minutes a game in the games he missed that still would of been a valuable experience for him.

I agree with this analysis.

Good article but Wally is not going to Rio this year.  He still needs to qualify for the Olympic trials by equally his PR of 2.28m (7' 5.75") and then go even higher to make Rio.

That said he is Olympic caliber, just not in the next 120 days.  And I agree he might take professional money and "move on" to a full time track career.

One other possibility is that Wally goes to play his final year of basketball eligibility with Elwood  at Valley City State. Maybe it is worth it to him to have one big final year and win the NAIA,  Obviously the probability of this happening is low but stranger things have happened.

Another possibility is that he decides to become an astronaut.  That's just about as likely.
