Marquette adds Markus Howard, Katin Reinhardt on opening day of spring signing period

April has brought multiple roster changes for the Marquette men's basketball team. The first came when Henry Ellenson declared for the draft on April 5, leaving two open scholarship spots for the 2016-'17 season.

According to this story, Brendan Baily left today for his two year Mormon Mission.  So that's official for anyone that was still wondering.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Per Wojo's comments, what we can expect from Mssrs. Howard and Reinhardt: scoring and more scoring.
Should be able to run-n-gun with anyone, but interested to see what the defensive philosophy will be next year.

Did Bailey sign his NLI during the fall signing period?  Or is that pending when he returns?

Daniel

I think we have shooters next year. But defense and rebounding are also key factors

IIRC he signed in the fall.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

So MU is no longer recruiting Kalif Young?

Yes. Stan had tweeted that out yesterday as well about congratulating him on his LDS mission. Excited to see how he develops in the next 2 years. Keep that silky stroke and add some weight and he could be a really fun piece to this team.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

When he signed in the fall someone posted here (I do not know if it is actually correct) that if you do not enroll within a year of signing you are actually free to go anywhere.

Refreshing to see a student athlete realize their potoential. Bailey seems like a bright guy. In the height of transfers and obsession with recruitment, Bailey takes a 2 year mission for his church. I'm not a religious guy, but you have to respect his self awareness. I chuckle at all the kids leaning great schools to pursue playing time and Florida A&M.

I remember that. But IIRC again, someone else responded that he was incorrect when it came to players leaving on religious and military vocations. If someone knows for sure, I would love confirmation. Too lazy to read up on it myself. Though in all honesty, as long as we have Wojo and Stan the Man in two years, we will have Bailey. And even if we lose Stan the Man, I still don't think we have anything to worry about.
