OK, it's the off season and spring so it's time for me to do some social media cleaning. Who here is everyone's must follow on social media(preferably twitter, but whatever works) for college basketball info generally and for Marquette specifically?

I finally decided I couldn't take Jon Rothstein's stupid tweets so I stopped following him so what to fill a whole in the line-up :)
"A Plan? Oh man, I hate plans. That means were gonna have to do stuff. Can't we just have a strategy......or a mission statement."

GGGG

I don't follow ESPNers so here is my list.

Mike DeCoursy
Kami Mattioli
Pat Forde (who is more football and basketball)
Paint Touches
Anonymous Eagle
Jim Ganzer
Evan Daniels
Luke Winn
Dan Wetzel - more of a general columnist
Oscar Rueda
Mark Miller

I've dropped Seth Davis and Jay Bilas cause they are pompous and boring.  I don't like hot take twittering.  Give me something interesting to think about or good information.

Most of the above retweet good recruiting info so I don't need to get a lot of that info directly.

The Lens

I would add Nicole Auerbach (USA Today) & Mark Titus (IMO the best college basketball thinker out there).
The Teal Train has left the station and Lens is day drinking in the bar car.    ---- Dr. Blackheart

History is so valuable if you have the humility to learn from it.    ---- Shaka Smart

KampusFoods

Matty V too.

I follow Jeff Goodman during transfer season because he usually has the scoop and the list on all of that. Not a fan of him otherwise.

Searching "basketball high school expert" gave me limited options.

Jeff Borzello is a good follow for college basketball

Big East Coast Bias is a good follow for general Big East info and snark.

Marquette related are Scott Kuykendall and Brian Hardin(for reading between the lines) Jack Goods and Marquette Nation for the current student perspective.

Misix Analystics is good if you like stats.

Dan Pfeifer and Matt Barbato are good when they are tweeting MU stuff, but they have other jobs so not a focused set of stuff

Add Adam Zagoria & Matty V, and you have a pretty good list.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Yeah I just forgot to list Matty.  I dropped Zags because he was annoying me for some reason.

I get dropping Seth Davis, but Jay Bilas (while not a hard news outlet) I think is very informative and very intelligent(opposite of #hottakes). I thought his all day take down of the NCAA usage of players jersey to be some of the finest twitter work in the history of ever.

I think it was when he was just retweeting everyone who mentioned his book and I have not gone back.

MerrittsMustache

I gave up Twitter and Facebook for Lent and haven't gone back. Both colossal time sucks that return little value (unlike Scoop  ;)).

Try it for a week. It's weird at first but you'll eventually realize that it's liberating to not be checking your phone at all hours.

Great list thanks! Didn't have Gasaway on my list.

Glockner is coming close to my Rothstein memorial stupid recurring tweets ban list....we're working on a better name.
