Looks like April 3rd is the day.....https://twitter.com/markushoward11/status/716022047479042049

So his April 3rd tweet about his brother now becomes a lot more relevant

Should chick and I go to the hat ceremony?

WarriorPride68

The tweet I referenced for the curious:

@Markushoward11: My brother is so gifted man @JordaniHoward can't wait till April 3rd

I'm a little nervous  :-\. This kid would be a great get for us, so I really hope his relationship with his brother or his friend at Balylor don't give another school the edge.

Central Arkansas wouldn't be my first choice. Personally, I would never base my college decision on where my brother was.

Guess some family bonds are stronger than others.

Hmmmm, don't like that the ASU image is larger.  Also, we've lately been targeting other guards.  Wonder if he verbaled to Hurley and given the Duke connections Wojo already knows.

Perhaps I'm just conditioned to expect the worst, but I think the uptick in recruiting other guards is very telling.

RushmoreAcademy

I see the Baylor Bears Insider changed their prediction on 247sports to Marquette on March 17th.  Not much stock in that obviously.  How accurate are the other guys on there?  Meyer, Finn, and Miller?

As has been indicated here before,  he's a big Baylor homer so when he switched away it was considered quite telling.

Let's start with this n Remember that step one was reclassifying to '16.  So that appears to be certain. I'd say we're better than 50/50.

Yup.  If he goes there, then a Top 50 recruit can play against Sam Houston, Houston Baptist and Incarnate Word.... as opposed to Nova, Xavier, Georgetown.......  Just don't see it happening.  Probably be the highest ranked high school kid ever to the school, heck, maybe the Southland Conference.

And remember all that chatter about what a threat USC was going to be? Yeah, right.  I believe in my heart he wants to be a Warrior. We'll see soon enough. Best to him whatever he decides. If anybody sees any prediction movements,  please post.

His brother is a video maker as well and is making the video a video on Markus' commitment. That's the talent he was talking about.

Not a big deal but..

'League me' will be making the video. Which is his other brother. He said Jordan Howard (Central Arkansas) was talented

I remember when College of Charleston landed the #28 overall prospect in 2011 per Rivals, Adjehi Baru.

Always seems odd. Would really suck if Markus followed in those footsteps for MU.

Should have clarified. He tweeted tonight that his brother would be making the video. I would copy/paste but I'm on my phone

Howard now up to 83 percent for MU on 24/7 - latest on April 1.

fjm

Look at the 4 photos he made, the MU one (aside from the one with his brother) is the one with the most in depth school spirit and logos.

I think it's MU for the win

Norm

Does anyone here really feel confident about Howard picking MU? And could he live up to the expectations folks on the Scoop board have for him?

Can't say I'm too confident he'll commit to MU. Would love to be wrong.

Yes and yes. Does that mean both will happen?  No.

1) Pretty confident, yeah.

2) He can really shoot it. Very good handle. Don't know if it's a function of Findlay's system, but it's hard to tell how he is defensively. There's a very real chance MU will have to play a lot of four guard sets next year. Markus can certainly help them.

Very confident. If nothing else, consider the other options...

1) Arizona State: He committed to Stan Johnson, who left. Didn't bother taking an additional visit though he could have.

2) Baylor: His lead recruiter left to go to Arkansas State. Basically the reason he would have committed is gone.

3) Central Arkansas: Okay, if he goes there, he does, but it's still the 11th best team in the low-major, 29th ranked conference in the country.

As far as how he does, we'll see. I'm sure someone else has a better comparison, but he reminds me of Scottie Reynolds, Not really a point, can score reliably at multiple levels, likely a better collegiate player than pro.
