MUBB posted today to Facebook.  Great to see him working hard and making it in the NBA - glad he played for us.

Nice, thanks for posting.  Wes, Jimmy, and Jae, all similar in that they are noted for playing hard at both ends of the court.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Some of our ex-JUCOs are creating positive press for Marquette.  Great to see and hope we continue to look at JUCOs for our program.  Go Marquette!

Great article. Some of the stuff brought up leads me to ask, did Jae and Jimmy graduate?

Also, this hit home:  "Me and Jimmy, we played in the Big East when it was really tough. " - I miss the old big east so bad.

Jimmy did, Jae did not.

What?  Like the 2010-2011 season that sent 11 Big East teams into the tourney including the champion?

Or was the 2011-2012 Big East not tough either?  When 9 teams were sent to the tourney?

Believe he was referring to the graduating portion. Jimmy graduated. Jae did not.

Jae is one of my all time favorite "Warriors".  While the West Virginia win Jae's senior year is most remembered for Buzz's dance, its Jae's embrace of Buzz and what he said after Jae had single handedly willed the team with all its suspended players to victory that night that will always stick in my mind.  Jae thanked Buzz for giving him a chance and sticking by him when no one else would.  Its the main reason that while others on this board seem to hate Buzz, I can't be mad at him.  Its interesting that the issues with Jae academic acceptance at MU seems to be one of the key things that drove a wedge between Buzz and MU.  Because to me Jae is the poster child for why MU shouldn't make rules in stone and should be ready to take chances on players like Jae.  He was basically the victim of the system and some bad advice about where to go to school but personally he was a great kid, decent student and represented MU with nothing but class while he was here.  Wojo and the current regime would miss out on the next Jae Crowder because they wouldn't take a chance on someone in his situation. In my opinion that is MU's loss.

Lmao read the first line of his quote and you'll see what I was answering. Take a breath and think before posting.

Buzz found and drove Jae and JFB.   But remember, neither were instant successes.   JFB looked lost as a sophomore at first.   Jae didn't start as a junior because he couldn't stay out of trouble.   Two guys with similar drives who played for a coach who understood how to get the most out of players like them.       They improved.   They led when it was their time.   They made the players around them better.

The first 5 years under Buzz really spoiled us.   And too many failed to appreciate what MU had.

When I criticize Wojo, it won't because of wins or losses, it will be whether or not he can get players to play to their full potential and with the toughness of Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder, as well as some of the others on those teams.
