And Marquette did it with only one Davidson turnover.

One TO and Davidson made 3 of 4 free throws. Chico then called us lucky and said Davidson "peed down their leg". LOL

I think Davidson made all of their FTs. 4/4.

The key was our ability to rain down 3 threes after missing all game.  Davidson certainly didn't play poorly down the stretch.  Just that single empty trip on the turnover.

Great - all this talk about MU winning the game is just going to provoke a carpet bomb of posts.

Kidding aside - that was so exciting.  The improbable 3pt shooting was the best part.  Nice to be on the other side of one of those close games unlike Mizzou or Washington.

It was absolutely surreal to be there.

I know you guys heard the story before.  I got diagnosed with cancer the day before.  And yes, it's exactly like that scene from Breaking Bad where Walt notices the doctor's mustard stain.  Somebody was looking out for me that next day.  Truly believe it.

Nope, they missed one with 1:10 seconds left....would have put them up 7.

Then the pissing down the leg massive turnover with 6.7 seconds left to a wide open player.  He didn't even need to pass it, as MU had to foul.

Fortunately for Davidson, NIU eclipsed that pants pissing 5X on Sunday night.  MU worked hard to get Davidson rattled.   NIU let EatME back in while only making one three pointer and turning the ball over like it was lubricated.

NIU (aka Northern Illinois) is playing in the Vegas 16. It's a common mistake. I mean, it's not like it's written across their jerseys...

Also, their only basket was a dunk on a blown press assignment, not a 3.

Sorry...thanks for the clarification.   Can you blame me, I'm an old Big 8 alum of KU...University of Kansas (which should be UK).

How many times do I have to tell you Buzz was a very good coach?

The problem was folks didn't care so much about the bad side the university was put through....why is this hard for you to process?

You are criticizing others for not being able to process when you keep saying things like "folks didn't care so much about the bad side the university was put through."

Seriously why do you continuously have to misrepresent and exaggerate to get your point across?

What difficulty?    Most of the difficulty was self inflicted.    Buzz made mistakes.   Lots of people made mistakes.    I just don't see why anyone should assume that (A) Marquette would or should be exempt from the same problems that challenge many universities, and (B) just because it is Marquette, there are never going to be mistakes.

The original point of the post was to celebrate a great moment in Marquette basketball history.   Time to put somebody back on 'ignore.'
