Hard to unfollow a guy who is east coast hoops centric and will rep the Big East but JR makes it easy.

Skip Bayless is far and away the worst.

The man argues the stupidest things just to get attention.  He would be happy to win this contest.

What's even worse is he use to be an intelligent, well thought out football writer. Now he's just a hysterical professional troller

14 seeded Joe Buck has a good chance of making a run..

I don't hate Gottlieb as many others on this board. He actually ripped on Bo/the Badgers quite a bit these past few years, and actually seems to be a big Wojo/Marquette fan (based on his twitter feed throughout the year). Could be the Milwaukee roots, with his dad coaching at UWM. Either way - anyone who constantly rips the Badgers in the national media deserves a little bit more credit on this board.

I still won't listen to Joe Buck because of the way he called the '05 World Series.  In between periods of opening cheering for the Astros he would essentially talk about how boring the match-up was.  Took joy out of watching my likely once in a lifetime World Series win by my Sox.

Also his faux outrage at Moss' Moon in Lambeau was classic as well.

One of the few times Cubs and Sox fans will agree.  Joe Buck openly cheering for the Cardinals over the Cubs is pretty annoying as well.

My wife generally leaves me alone when I watch college hoops, but she makes me turn down/mute the volume whenever Dickie V is doing the game.  Fortunately, since the Big East moved to Fox, I can count on one hand the number of games I watch that he does during a season.

When I was a teenager/young college student I use to love Dickie V....can't stand him now and will actively avoid games he is calling. Similar phenomenon  (but not as bad) happened for me with Berman

It's funny cause I hate all things Boston but I really like/respect Simmons. Rothstein is criminally underseeded.

Simmons was fine in the beginning...moderately entertaining...but soon became waaaaay too big for his britches. He became an egotistical brat with a whiny voice made for newsprint who recycled the same ideas over and over—that is, when he was still writing. Every column was packed with the same tired, predictable references to movies and TV...pro wraslin'...and, of course, his precious Boston (a city he loves so much, he bailed for LA about 12 years ago and never looked back).
Now, after a nice break from this goof, he's back. Throwing his feces at ESPN like he's a chimpanzee. Too bad HBO is going to pollute its network with this douchebag.

It's incredibly ironic that Simmons constantly trashes athletes and actors who mail it in but "keep cashing dem checks" and now he's a prime example of that. It's really unfortunate that he got caught up in his own hype because the guy was an excellent writer back when he actually cared and put in the effort. He's brutal on TV and his podcasts are rambling laziness.

I'm surprised by all the Stephen A Smith picks to win it all. He deserves to be in the finals for sure, but seeing him next to Bayless everyday should show how big of a douche canoe Bayless is. Bayless makes Stephen A Smith look reasonable by comparison.

Bayless makes crazy statements simply to be contrarian or controversial or "the bad guy." He doesn't even believe most of the garbage that he spews.

Stephen A makes crazy statements and actually believes them.

See, I feel the same but opposite. I feel like Stephen A. makes crazy statements just to keep up with the level of douche that Skip Bayless is.

There was a girl at Marquette from St. Louis that knew the Buck family and had dinner with them on occasion. I asked her straight up of Joe Buck really hated chicago or it just seemed like it. She said that at dinners most of his topic of conversation would be ripping and swearing about any and all chicago teams.

Perhaps they're in the same boat and each thinks that he needs to raise his crazy to keep up with the other  ;)

Interesting. I am a Astros fan . I dont remember Joe Buck's call. If he was openly cheering us ...he was a lonely voice on an island.
Even we in Houston could barely cheer as our  once in a lifetime , first ever WS appearance Astros folded like a cheap suit as the Sox blasted us off the field. Hearty congrats to y'all....still hurts here though.
As to Joe Buck....Way way back (1930s to 1959)the Cards AAA team was the Houston Buffs..maybe his dad (longtime Cards announcer) had him "Houston proud". Between the Buffs/Colt 45s/Astros being connected for almost 80 years to the NL...it still feels weird here to be in the AL

It may be just me but I'd put Doris Burke in there too...she grates on me

Who is the woman broadcaster on ESPN with the heavy Brooklyn accent? She's so much worse than Erin Andrews.

Maybe we are talking the same Doris Burke who is a New yorker and did Big East color when ESPN still had the games. Now she does WNBA and NBA sideline...I find her a tough listen

Not Doris Burke. Had to do some searching but it was Linda Cohn.
