We have an advantage here by being on the floor last night.  How many times in the BET does the lower seed seem to be a really tough out on day 2 because the first night jitters are gone and the flow of the game comes easier.

For what it's worth, the Big East Tournament has only had one all-chalk Quarterfinal Round since 2004 (2007). Why not us?

So does the officials back off(which would help MU I think) or do they keep doing what they did last night(which helps X significantly)?

I think this really hurts us - Teams love to push HE around and thus far this season it has been the most effective way to stop him from scoring/being a factor

Marquette went 38-43 (88.4%) from the free throw line last night. Frankly, I'm more worried about MU not getting to the foul line enough. That would imply 1) they're chucking up a large number of ill-advised jumpers, 2) The Ivory Towers are getting mugged in the paint, or 3) both.

But we've played them tight twice and it's tough to beat a team 3x in a row.

No it's not.  Old myth.  Here's the numbers from quite a few years ago.

and, it's fairly consistent...

I'll take a 1/4 chance.

Agreed!  I think we can do it too, even though it's not the likely outcome.

MattyWarrior

I hope we start well and play with some consistency and not fade in the second half. If they press
us we need to be prepared,30% chance of winning.

naginiF

But 100% chance of whining, even if we win!  ;)

It's been said already but G'Town was a perfect example that staying close, or having a small lead, just isn't good enough.  We need to build a lead that will not put us too far behind after "The Run"

geps

Both teams giving up 90 the last few games. Should be fun.

Wojo seen in blue Oxford without the suit coat at the garden right now.
That's worth at least 10 points. Off to a good start!
