Did any of you people actually watch the Butler game?

Anyone?

If you did, I seriously doubt we would be dreaming up scenarios where Marquette would be in the Big East Championship.

Yes, strange things do happen. But the rapture has a better chance of happening than we do of knocking off Xavier and Villanova.

Not this year anyway.

Think most of us watched the game, and most of us agree we have VERY slim odds of rattling off 4 in a row in NY, but it's fun to chat about since this is scoop and we literally have nothing else to do but talk about NIT bracketology (yawn).

Also remember that we gave X a damn good game on their home floor. Find a way to get past them, hope to draw Creighton in the semis, hope Providence gets through to the final and BAM we're the champs. See isn't that fun to think about?

All that said I'm worried about Wednesday's game and don't expect us to get past day 2.

OK, I buy that. I think St. John's will be tougher than we think (playing on their home floor, sort of) but we should win.

Day 2....... I hope I'm wrong and Henry and Big Fishy stuff it down my throat sideways.

Yes we watched the Butler game. We also watched the Georgetown game, the @Creighton game, the Butler home game, the two providence games, and the victory against the vadgers in the Kohl hole.

I know the Butler game is the most recent memory, but it is a snapshot of this team at their lowest point this season in  a season full of highs and lows. The lows suck but the highs show that this team has the potential to beat anyone. I would not be at all surprised to knock off Xavier on Thursday....though even I have to admit that expecting that magic to last for four games is a stretch.

So this just happened.

Mrs. Sultan:  Hey <friends> invited us to dinner on Saturday
Sultan:  The Big East championship is Saturday and Marquette might be in it.
Mrs. Sultan:   ::)

So Marquette has lost the faith of mildly interested spouses.

I think you mis interpreted my post...I'm saying none of the top 4 seeds(Xavier, Nova, Providence, Seton Hall) will win the BE tournament. It won't be DuhPaul or SJU either. Someone of Creighton, Butler, MU, or Georgetown will win it. I'd say GT is the least likely of those 4.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.
