TAMU, Knower of Ball

Tough call.

Jjj was the stud of the first half

Duane was the stud of the second half

I think Henry posted the best overall game

Eh...um...ah...Duane, I guess. No Henry because I think that technical was intentional. No jjj because that jump ball at the end caused me to lose my shiit.

Death on call

Duane is clutch late. But holy hell is dumb before crunch time.

We're up 46-31 and about to run away with it.

Next 4 pts are Creighton off of two MORONIC Duane TOs.

Sorry but it's the full body of work not the few min.

Henry or JJJ

All I can say is I love waking up to see a STOG thread at the top of the list.  Glad we got it done, but man it would be great to finish games string.  Think it's a testament to the balance on the team when a guy goes for 22/10 and he's only one of three in the STOG convo.

Also should add Duane was 1/2 on both his free throw trips including one of them late.

He had back to back buckets for us(not on back to back possessions) late. That isn't stud of game worthy though.

JJJ played a great game.  Love his quickness.

True, Duane turned it over a few times.  But at that point in the chat room, several Scoopers were all over Du and Wojo for keeping Du in the game, saying Du is he worst player on the team.  A few of us commented about his ability to do what he seems to do a lot at the end of a game, which is have the balls to take over and hit some clutch shots.  I realize it's the heat of the moment, but think about the ability and stones he has to forget about the last miss and hit the next shot.   Thankfully, Du is a Warrior.

What moron said that Duane is the worst player on the team?    I understand the heat of the moment, but come on.     Duane is unafraid of the moment.   He attempts to take over at crunch time.   He has failed and even worse, made really bad decisions leading to that fail. (attempting 3's meant to be daggers that turn into runouts for the other team)   But he has not let that stop him from wanting to be the man.    Every team needs somebody unafraid at the end.

When that team was afraid to take shots and take the ball to the basket, Duane did.  Regardless of how poorly he played earlier, Duane stepped up.  He's a sophomore.  He is going to get better.  Combined with that attitude, he is going to be a very good player when all is said and done.

Duane! Clutch moments down the stretch when we needed it most - sounds like Stud to me.

Duane as a senior is going to be the player that crushes the spirit of other teams.

jutaw22mu

Duane is definitely the man of the match. From when I turned the game on with 13 min to go in the 2nd half, Duane was the only guy who scored within the run of play (not free throws...ok I think Henry may have had a jump shot too).  Yes, he threw up some bad shots too, but those were late in the shot clock because no one else had the guts to make positive movement to the basket.

Duane SOTG

Daniel

Duane. He was absolutely there when needed most.  Finished.

I'm watching the game again and there is just no way it can be anyone but Henry. His defense was bad but not as bad as it was made out to be in this thread and certainly no worse than Duane's. He had half of our 2nd half points (13/27) and consistently stemmed the tide when Creighton was making their initial run (before their successful run).

He hit clinching free throws at the end and drained a jumper right after Duane's two big baskets. He also drew about 4 fouls down the stretch that went uncalled so his line should have been even better.

I really like Duane, glad he's a part of this team even if he is infuriating at times. He played a huge part in that win last night. But he wasn't SOTG.

Also, the announcers were even worse on 2nd watch. My Lord.

You had two good choices and you went with neither lol.

JJ played well but he was not SOTG. Ah well, as long as Scoop is a free site I won't complain about the dictatorship.

His 9 rebounds were far less lucky than Henry's 9 rebounds. Ok that's the last time.

Henry should have gotten it. He could easily have 10 of these things.
