The way she comes to a stop is kinda sickening - and I work in surgery.

Apparently she wasn't hurt that badly. Avoided organs, etc. As far as being incredibly unlucky for getting impaled, she was pretty lucky that the impaling wasn't worse.

My daughter has played in a couple tournaments in that field house. Just hearing the story made me queasy but discovering where it happened gave me a shiver.
