Devendorf tore his ACL and is out for the year, and Josh Wright has left the team.  So they are down to two freshman guards, albeit very talented freshman, but that's all they have.

wheresthecake?

I know I should feel bad for him as he is a great talent, but at the same time he's a thug and I am glad we don't have to face him.

Cuse was in for a tough battle anyway having to play their starters for 35 minutes over 18 Big East games but this should put them out of the race for a bye and gives Marquette some separation in the league table.

The BE won't be the BEAST this year...is it me, or does there seem to be an unusually large number of knee injuries this year?  Teams are getting decimated.  Our injury report looks good compared to some others.

muhoosier260

i realize the BE season hasn't even started, but the way things are going it already seems as though the top of the conference is already setting itself apart from the rest. I see G'Town, MU, Pitt, ND @ the top w/everyone else trailing behind. I would've said UL, but they have had quite a turn of events in the last few weeks

Ouch for them, good for us.

But their frosh guards are going to be outstanding next year due to their experience.

add nova and west virginia to that list.  i think those are your top 6...

I wouldn't be so sure about the five or six bids. While the top tier may have separated itself from the middle tier, I think the gap between the middle tier and the bottom tier (Rutgers, Cincy, SJU, DePaul) is fairly significant, too. So the 9th and 10th-place teams could be 10-8 type teams. If those kinds of teams are someone like West Virginia that have a chance to be something like 11-2 in non-conference, you're talking about a team that could have something like 22 wins overall. The NC2A doesn't normally skip teams in conference standings to make the tournament (though they did skip Syracuse last year), so if someone like WVU would be 21-10, 10-8, anybody that would be 11-7, 21-10 (maybe someone like Louisville) would have a pretty good shot in my mind.
GO WARRIORS!

I still think teams that have a pretty good shot- GT, Pitt, MU, Nova, WV, UConn, Louisville

then you still have ND, Providence, Syracuse

I would be shocked if the conference got any less than 7 bids, although now that Lville is gonna be outta the top 25 there may only be 4 teams in it going into conf play

The conference is down to 5 or 6 NCAA bids.

I'll take that bet....7 minimum, 8 potentially.

Yeah. It's going to be a nasty - but typical - Big East season.

Teams beating up on each other just to get invited.

Couldn't happen to a nicer person.
