Hey Guys, you asked about points in the paint and how we have fared against our opponents.  Turns out that information /is/ in the box score information on the MU website.

We've had more points in the paint that all of our opponents except OSU and Duke.  Even against Duke, the discrepancy was only two points.

MU   32   IUPUI   16
MU   36   UVU   20
MU   50   Cha     34
MU   30   OSU   34
MU   32   Duke   34
MU   54   UWM   22
MU   44   UW     30
MU   46   SacSt   30

Cheers

Cool - thanks!!

Wow.. an average of 40.5 points in the paint per game for us compared to our opponents at 27.5... not bad for a team that supposedly has low quality post players :)

interesting that OSU beat us in the paint despite the spanking we put on them.  Duke is understandable.

mu_hilltopper also reminds me that this ( and loads of other great information ) is available on the wiki.

Sugar, thanks for the analysis.  The Duke one doesn't surprise me, but the Okie State one does.  Then again, we were lights out from long-range in that game while Okie State couldn't buy a shot.

What is interesting is that we have played teams with MUCH bigger front courts than ours, yet other than one game (that we shot the lights out from 3) we have scored more than the other teams in the paint.  Amazing.
