I hate to say it so early into Wojo's tenure but if they lose on Wednesday to DePaul at home, our beloved program has issues and Wojo might not be the solution. Therefore, BEAT DEPAUL! Be somebody.

Just win baby.

GoldenZebra

Im fairly certain MU will win wednesday...I think?

jesmu84

Away with you, troll!

Just to clarify, where were you a couple weeks ago? If a home loss to DePaul = death of our program, what does a road win vs a top 10 team equal?

GooooMarquette

This team will likely lose more games we're expected to win, and win more games we're expected to lose.

A loss tomorrow would be bad, but it would not be the end of the world.  We still have five games vs top 25 opponents, so plenty more opportunities to make up for bad losses.  And there's always NYC.

By the way, K was 10-17 in his second year at Duke, FWIW.

MUfan12

I think DePaul beats MU tomorrow, and I'm certain it won't be the death of the program.

Eh, I don't see it. We have way more talent and just went through a microcosm of the rigors of the Big East over the last week. I think they come in really focused and win by 15+.

Hope you're right. Just a bad feeling about this one. DePaul has kept games close and MU loves giving the ball away.

I believe we will win but it will be painful to watch.  I'm expecting a lot like the St Johns game, probably we're down a couple points at half and then a combination of pride, talent and home crowd kick in and we find a way to win.  Afterwards the phrase "Ugly wins count the same" gets posted about 100 times.  The truth is that right now we're a lot closer to DePaul and St Johns then we are to the top of the BE.  I just hope we're making some progress.

Are we though? We beat Providence at their place and had the halftime lead at Nova after a phenomenal come-back from a wretched start. Not to mention our other quality wins. I do think we're in limbo--as in floating between the top and bottom, but I wouldn't characterize it as you did.

I agree.  We just faced two potential Final 4 teams.  On top of that, Wojo had ample time to break down the film of Saturday's 'soft and young'.  They'll be ready tomorrow.

+1

When we're on, we can be as good as any team in the BE...and when we're off, we can be as bad as any.  No shock when we have young but talented kids being coached by a young but promising coach.

Losing to DePaul would surely end our tournament dreams this season, but it definitely wouldn't be the end of the program/Wojo. Not even close.

I think we struggle for about 30 minutes tomorrow and end up with an 8-10 point win

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Dear god.

We are 12-6. Our 6 losses are to two top 5 teams, 1 top 10 team, 2 likely ncca teams, and 1 possible ncaa team on the road. We're fine. We're certainly not in a place where Wojo will be fired for one bad loss.

That being said, I think we win easily against both Depaul and SJU. Then murder Stetson before shocking the Bulldogs. At Seton Hall is winnable, but no easy match. We could be on the verge of a 5 game win streak.

Losing to Depaul would most likely end our dreams of the tournament this year. Let's not go as far to say that one game is going to sway our decision on Wojo. Like really????

Side note: When was the last team that had a lottery pick on their team not make the tournament?

Well that was fast...

Now I'm going to rephrase this because I'm evil. When was the last time a heavily scouted 5 star recruit lottery pick's team didn't make the tournament  ;D ;D

Don't look now, but HE has dropped to #20 in the first round.

I was thinking of that the other day. Malik Newman came to mind for this season. Miss State is pretty damn awful

Hank will go closer to 1 than he does to 20.

Gotcha. Draft Express still has him at #7. As a somewhat more than casual viewer of MU hoops and the NBA, I really don't see it YET.

And Elfrid Payton, I believe. Unless ULL got an auto bid.
