86 all start 2OT

A high quality game deserving of a #1 v #2 match up.

Added

This is the first time since 2001 that AP and the Coaches poll had two different teams as #1 and both met to play when both were no.1

Kansas is #1 AP (Okla #2)
Okla is #1 Coaches (Kansas is #2)

Not sure I like DV and BM calling the game together. Seems like they're just trying to figure out what's going on/what's being called half the time.

They're both up way past their bedtimes.

Kansas won 109 to 106 in 3OTs
One of the best college basketball games I've ever seen.

Buddy Hield Okla had 46 in this game, ties for the highest total in College Basketball this year.
Woodward of Okla had 27.  When was the last time a player had 27 and did not lead his team in scoring?

Hield was on everyone's short list for National Player of the Year.  Was this the game/performance that gave it to him?

The game literally right before this one

Paige had 30 with Johnson having 39.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Great game. Inbound play with about 16 seconds to play and KU gets the steal and ends up winning in 3 OT. Held for OU was awesome tonight.

Sure looked like the defender didn't give enough room on that inbound.

What a basketball game though. Hard to think of a better regular season game I've seen.

Agree, totally.

INHO, Some of the Nonconf holiday tourneys pair some good teams etc...but those are "staged" neutral courts, etc.

For this to be an elite, in conference, naturally scheduled game that "means something" in standings , etc....well this ...along with extremely entertaining high level of play....
puts this in the true top of the reg. season games in recent decades
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Fantastic game. Glad I stayed up to watch it. Both teams look legit. I remember Buzz was recruiting Hield. Man, what a stud that kid became. Pretty sure he was ranked in the middle of the top-100, maybe peaking in the 40s?

Wasn't even top 100 in ESPN. They rated him the number 20 shooting guard in that class. Whoops.
