Just so noone thinks I am trying to pull a fast one - I still get occasional congratulations on the success of Alabama's football team due to choosing a name based on the name of my state. I originally did this because I like to tell people I am the only Marquette season ticket holder in the State of Alabama.

However, since I live a couple of miles from Auburn's football stadium and am an Auburn fan, I decided to make the change less someone think I have enjoyed anything about any college sports season this year. Auburn started top 10 and was terrible, while obviously the first two Big East games were tough for MU.

Anyway, the name is changed :-) so don't send any congratulations if Alabama beats Clemson - I only care about MU stunning Providence or anyone else in our way.

That reminds me of one of the best Halloween costumes I saw while at MU - the guy who dressed up as the Tidy Bowl guy.

He said it was a pain in the ass getting around and that his yacht didn't fit in the bathroom when he had to go.

This reminds me to explain that my "HouWarrior" is not to my city of Houston/MU Warriors,

...but rather an homage to UH, where I went to Law school, and to our MU Warriors, where I went to undergrad.

I considered "UHwarriors" .... but worried that I sounded like Homer Simpsons "Doh". lol

UH's win in Peach bowl was the biggest in years.

The school/program, with Tom Herman locked up heading it (at least for a while-lol) and a new stadium, is pushing hard to attract the BIG 12...who is still rumored to be looking at adding 2 teams and thereby, add a div. vs div conf FB champ game like the other Power 5ers.

UH recognizes that if you're running a full sport, football incl program...you have to get to Power 5 level or risk dying a slow death

Here's to a slow death for UConn and Memphis.  Probably doesn't help that Memphis had the best NFL QB prospect playing for them this year.
