Corn Hole / Bags Custom Boards
« on: December 15, 2015, 09:46:08 PM »
Hello Everyone! Looking for that last minute Christmas idea? Not sure what to get that die hard MU fan in your life? Well I have nothing for you for Christmas, just a badass idea that if you act now you could have well in advance of St. Valentine's Day!

The first time I saw the new floor at The Al (and also now at the BC) I became inspired. My wife has a co-worker who runs a side business making custom corn hole boards. I had him design a set based on the new floor. I just got them tonight, and they are AWESOME!!!

They are solid wood and latch together with a custom built in handle. Because they are solid wood, the set of them together weighs close to 40lbs.

I had a set made for my MU grad dad for Christmas and my MU grad sister had a set made for her husband, a great guy but sadly a UW grad. for her set one board is MU, the other is UW. But you can clearly see that in the second pic.

Anyways, a BIG shout out to Tim Jandt of Tim's Handy Works. You can find his business page on Facebook.

Those are sweet. I've done them in Blackhawks and Packers for people in the past:

The way they did the surface to look like the court is really baller though. I don't think I could do that.

I made a set of my own two years ago and while they don't look that good, they weren't too hard to make.  We made it our Father's Day weekend project and my dad and kids all chipped in.

Derrick makes the best boards also his bags have a lifetime warranty.
But I like to throw handfuls...

They messed up on my design and it caused a week delay, so they threw in the dual fabric bags for free.

Although it does seem that they outsource production.  Mine were ordered through derricksmash, but made and shipped by another co.
