Under the name deeznuts on the scout board, Ners has posted that he has heard a rumor that a contributing player is transferring at the semester.   Same old Ners.

Damn! It was nice having Henry here while it lasted.

I'm sure he is approaching the discussion in the level-headed and logical manner he usually does.

tower912

He is getting calmly and methodically beaten up.

Has he banned himself yet?

tower912

His feelings are hurt that no one is taking him seriously.   Rhetorically asked whether he has a duty to bring rumors from a strong source to the board.   Dodds told him to sit on the rumor.   Better to discuss after the fact.    Ners mentioned that a transfer should be expected when coaches make it clear that you are lowest on the totem pole at your position... (question:   Aren't Wally and Sacar lower at the wing than JJ?)    again implying that JJ is being held to a different standard than other players......blahbityblahbityyadayadayada

I think Dawson will be gone. Probably to Kentucky or Duke so he can play for a coach that knows how to recognize talent..

Would it surprise me?  No.

Would it surprise me with no transfers?  No

Got to clear up more space to take on Riley Dearing

Hmm...guess someone forgot to tell Ners there aren't going to be any transfers.

Quote from: Matt VelazquezUnlike last year, there were no transfers to bring news to an otherwise quiet week.

Is he saying anything over at scout now?

Banging on about how Wojo never gave Dawson and Burton a chance.

Also said that MU will regret losing Dawson, who is DJ Newbill 2.0.

So he hasn't admitted he was wrong about there being a transfer. Classic.

I am shocked.

I wandered over to the scout board (where I never spend time)... and now seriously wish I hadn't.

It it almost literally word-for-word posts that he had here at scoop. Now with some added stats from Dawson's 1 game at Liberty.

Wow.

I just don't get how anyone could love Marquette basketball and really still care about that. I watch this team and think about how exciting Ellenson and Fischer are now, and how exciting Carter and Cheatham will be the next four years. I don't wonder about what Dawson and Burton (or McKay and Levin) would be doing had they not left because it has no bearing on reality.

Isn't it enough to be excited about THIS team, rather than pining on about what this team might have been (which likely isn't better than what we actually do have)?

If only we still had Maymon.

I agree. Tim made Marquette basketball unique.

Agreed.  It seems he's so focused on past frustrations that he can't just move on and enjoy the present state of MU hoops.

Just went and read last two pages of the thread. Ners is crazier now than when he was here. He is flummoxed that nobody realizes how smart he is.

Did he tell Dodds how much he needed his "hot takes" to drive traffic?

tower912

Circle jerks, morgue, isn't the point of a message board different opinions......   He didn't have an opportunity to take a poll, however.
