Death on call

WayOfTheWarrior

Becky is probably gonna be extra motivated now, hopefully not. Still gonna be a close game on Saturday I feel.

That's great but they're gonna come out with a fire under their ass on saturday now.

usually I'd hate to play them after a loss but I feel like after this one it's gotta be getting in their heads which is a plus for us

Yea, I'd agree with this. They can't be feeling too confident losing to Western Illinois and UWM at home. We're not coming off a great performance, but we still gutted out a win. They are very dependent on Hayes and Koenig. Happ had a very good game. We have to play smart and stay out of foul trouble. Hopefully this shows the guys it can be done.

They are demoralized because they know last is over and this year they suck.

Smartest man in the state of WI ... Diamond Stone for staying away from the Madison Dumpster fire.

Or, as we might say around here ... Bucky is not going to be fine.

MattyWarrior

Happ is a good player for Wisky, but the little point guard from UWM played a great game. Has Bos head blown
off yet over the officials?

Conspiracy theory?

This is Bo's last year.  Have they announced his replacement yet?  Otherwise, Barry  meet Rob Jeter.

Anti-Dentite

I just love watching the rodents lose, it's good for the soul.

That's called explosive diarrhea from the anxiety of facing the twin towers and company.

I feel like if we can't do what Western Ill and UWM did then we're in trouble and deluding ourselves. Onward and upward!

The badgers have zero home court advantage. The reason they are good at home is mostly because they have a great team and they also get most of the favorable calls. The fans turn that place into an absolute morgue. Their sweater vests are much worse than ours.

Wow fouls are something I hope Wojo is addressing in practice, lots on both sides

I feel it's something he definitely has been addressing. We are 9th in the country in opponent free throw attempt/field goal attempt ratio, which means we're very, very good at not fouling. We've had 4 foul-outs this year, Fischer twice (Iowa and ASU) and both Henry and Sandy once (both against LSU). The last game against SJSU was only the second time we've lost the total foul battle.

One more thing I'll credit Wojo with so far, we seem to be ahead of the curve in fouling, and not just against the cupcakes, but most of the quality teams (Belmont, Iowa, ASU) we've played as well.

Way to go Panthers!  Let's go for the kill on Saturday.

when was the last time buck has lost 2 in a row at home?

they did name bo's replacement-the asst. coach, greg gard, i think, but i've heard some rumblings that this may not be bo's last year and their recruiting stock took an immediate hit.  the kids were like who greg who?  they need to bring in a BIG name to even sniff at continuing their previous successes.  exception-jeter.  he is right out of the bo ryan mold.  i'm sure this greg gard is better known in the circles, but, he ain't no bo
felz Houston ate uncle boozie's hands

I didn't see the game but our guys need to believe.  This isn't your Final 4 Bucky anymore.  And this stuff can snowball.  If our Warriors can come out fast.......

Can you imagine Kohl emptying of rodent fans and the chant of 'We Are Marquette!' ringing through the joint as the clock runs down?

They lost 3 in a row at home a couple of years ago in their first final four year.  A lot of fans wanted Bo to retire then.

Guess UWM caught the rodents looking ahead to their Super Bowl. ;)

I don't buy it.  They already got beat at home by Western Illinois.  They shouldn't need extra motivation.

Sat, Feb 1    vs  #24 Ohio State  L  59-58   17-5 (4-5)

In the January 13, 2014 Poll Wisconsin was #3
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rankings/_/year/2014/week/11/seasontype/2

February 10 2014 poll Bucky was not even among "others getting votes" (completely off the list)
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rankings/_/year/2014/week/15/seasontype/2

This was one of the biggest after January 1st collapses from top 5 to not even getting votes (4 weeks) in college basketball history.

And as noted before, they then rebounded and made the final four.

But yes, after the February 1, 2014 loss to tOSU Bucky nation was besides themselves thinking Bo should immediately retire.

Yep, and some marquette fans thought they wouldn't make the tournament that year
