What odds would you have given we would go 6-0 the day after the Iowa loss?

I don't gamble, and I would have thrown down $100 against it.

Young team, it's going to be a frustrating crazy year.

GoldenZebra

Didnt see a 6-0 streak in the cards, but also didnt expect a lot things this season, like the blowout loss to Iowa. Heres hoping for a nice surprise Saturday, but cant be too excited....

tower912

A 1 pt and an overtime win in there.    The team has toughened, but still not a finished product.

Much nicer feeling than when we talked about "6 in a row" last season!

Yeah, but last season we had two chances to talk about 6 in a row!

MUFlutieEffect

If 6 in a row becomes 7 in a row (and, without being too presumptuous, likely 9 in a row), are we ranked?

If we can get through Georgetown at Georgetown without losing again, we'll be ranked. Maybe ranked after a Seton Hall win, short of that though and I think at best we are receiving votes.

tower912

I think the Iowa game is etched in a lot of minds and it is going to take longer than normal (if MU continues to win) for the votes to start coming in.

Ranked?  Come on, the best team we played this season (receiving THREE votes) clubbed us like a lame baby seal.  If we don't lose through Providence then let's talk.  Or better yet, let's not focus on rankings and just try to pull together the wins we need to get to the NIT.

Listen, I'm thrilled as anyone that we're playing better (I'm sure the leash thread motivated Wojo  :) ) but this is a team that let SJS get to within 6 in the 2nd half last night.  Yes SJS is better than last year but they are still a creamy cake.  One step at. Time, keep improving, and get ourselves into the tourney convo - that would be a good year.

The rodent game is the biggest game of the year for Warrior fans.  Can't wait until tip off!

It's the biggest game of the year...because it's the next one.  24 hours ago the biggest game of the year was SJSU.

Even though they got close the final score was right where Vegas predicted. We won by 18 line was 19.

Granted we should have kept it that much all game, SJS was not the fatty cupcake that the last two were.

As the season goes along most teams improve. I think we are a much better team now than we were when we played Iowa. I also think UW now is a better team than Iowa was when we got creamed by Iowa. Throw in the fact that this game is at the Kohl Center vs. the Iowa game being at the BMO Harris Center and I think this is a tougher game than the Iowa game. I still have not recovered from Wade getting called for three quick fouls against the Badgers. I never have a good feeling about playing there.

I agree with everything about your post except for this. I think Iowa finishes above Wisconsin in the B1G this season.

This times 100.  Foul trouble is my biggest fear for Saturday.

That is the most coach-speakiest post in this thread.

Agreed.  They'll win their share this year.

Honestly, I don't think Maine will even end up THAT bad. They were without one of their leading scorers against us. I think they'll win some as well.

Grambling.....yeah, not the case.

HouWarrior

Its still only NonConf time, yet to have a young team, its very nice to see 6 different STOGs .
Depth and different guys stepping up will be the way this team will look tough in spring, and also have them bounce back from a loss here and there.
I am very encouraged
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

I think the chances of that happening are about the same as Marquette winning in the Kohl Hole Saturday...very minimal.

But I am hopeful.  On both.

I think if I remember correctly, I put the over-under for MU players fouling out at 3 (in another thread).

Major concern of mine also.
