On my way to a wake last weekend on Chicago's southside (104th and Kedzie) I drove past a burger, beer and BBQ joint called Wojo's. It's on 99th and Pulaski across the street from Brother Rice HS. I would have checked out the place but was in a hurry. Anybody know the place?

I have family in Evergreen Park.   I have eaten there before.   Nice local thing, not really destination dining.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

I have eaten there. The first year of business was a mess. They inherited staff from the previous owner and they didn't have all of the ingredients in the pantry.

Their second year was better as they were able to hire their own cooks, wait staff, and bus people.

Their third year is when they finally had their team trained up and their recipes perfected. That is when they really hit stride and became one of the 20 best burger joints in the land.

It's all about that Maxwell Street Depot for food on the southside.
