I just don't see how so many people could have been so uber-panicked after Iowa. It was too early. And it's too early now to say Wojo has "figured out" anything, either.

Even keel, folks. We'll see how good MU is and Wojo in the coming months and years.
I don't know about an all-time historic low, but Iowa was as low as I can remember.  I don't know if I was panicked, but I sure did not have optimistic thoughts after that game, even if the team is young.  Very happy with how they played in NY, and that they are beating the sweet gooey filling out of the cupcakes.  Sorry, that's about as even keel as I get.  Need to check on some zanax.

Recent veteran MU teams expected to compete for NCAA tournament and upper half of Big East standings got murdered in recent years by Vanderbilt, Florida and Ohio State ... and also lost to Green Bay ... and also barely beat the likes of Norfolk State and Southern ... and THIS loss to Iowa by a freshman-filled team coached by a neophyte represented some kind of low? Really?

I guess you weren't around for Dukiet. Or much of Deane. Or lots of O'Neill. Or even a good chunk of Majerus.

You must have been suicidal when a team with Wade and Diener lost to Tulsa.

I don't think he was lazy coaching, not the X's and O's anyway.  Recruiting, well that is another matter altogether.  He didn't like recruit like one needed to at this level, and that hurt the program.

This is definitely a more accurate picture of Deane. I would've traded more wins for the drinks shared and fun at soccer practices and games that he attended, but my MU experience would also have been different without those . . . experiences.

I was around for all of that.  I drink a lot.

I actually agree with her. By far the lowest of lows in my fandom. But that began in the three Amigos senior year.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

There's something different about crushing home losses. You just feel the life sucked out of the building and you're sharing your dismay with 15,000 other people. Not sure that this was any worse than Vanderbilt or that conference loss to St. John's in 2011, but there was a whole lot of empty feelings after Iowa.

As far as that Ohio State game referenced, that was just terrible basketball on both ends. I honestly forgot how big the margin was because I just remember thinking both teams looked pretty awful. The ones that get me are when we get butt-stomped at home and made to look far inferior to the team coming into our gym. I understand why that game would stick out as a low point.
