ACC and Big 12 are way out in front, but the Big East now leads a close four-conference race for third by a hair. If Providence can pull out this game against Arizona that would be huge. With Georgetown falling just short against Maryland and Georgetown, I'm not sure if we have other upsets of ranked teams besides us over LSU, so Providence over Arizona would be huge.

Go Kris Dunn!
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

Wisconsin you mean?

Providence looks like the better team.

Dunn reminds me a ton of Wade. That kid can play.

Would have been nice to see him at MU. If I recall correctly, we were his runner up.

Iirc, we could of had him. But buzz was more interested in gabe York. Aka, the pg at Arizona who Dunn just beat

Dunn wanted to come here, but Buzz held off while pursuing York. By that time, Dunn had rocketed to the McDonald's All American Game and I believe Providence and UConn were the leaders. We were an afterthought because Buzz waited too long going after York.

Wow, I had completely drawn a blank on how close he was to being here. I interviewed him last year at the Big East awards and a wonderful kid, returning the glory to God in every response.

That win has big East 3rd as well. Providence shot way up to 38th sobthey would be the fourth team in the tourney with gtown on the bubble.

Sorry, on Georgetown above I meant near upsets at Maryland and of Duke.

The conference looming so good the last few days is great - except for remembering we have to actually beat these teams.

Here's what I'll say about Dunn.  Clearly he's been happy at Providence.  Didn't need to stay 4 years but he did.  Hope he's walking across the stage come May and again across the NBA stage in June.

Marquette moved from 98 to 86 in Kenpom with today's win. Kenpom had a 10 point win, won by 19.

Still #3 in kenpom, with the (1) Big12 and (2)ACC having a decent margin.
