I am NOT putting the cart before the horse, but I was interested. Not much of a local opportunity to see early games.

Whew looks like Omaha is the closest chance for us to see a game.  Guess its closer than California and North Carolina!

Just googled it and found that the Detroit Regional is at Ford Field...

Must be trying to showcase themselves for a future Final 4.

What ever happened to the tournament MSU/Ford Field wanted to put on? Something along the lines of two courts...

It's not the size of your Diener; its how you use it

Shows how well they've been publicizing it. ::) I live in Michigan and didn't realize that.

Maybe it was a big deal when they annouced it.  Looks like they've got them determined 5 years out, so I would have been at MU still when they announced that Detroit was hosting it...

How ridiculous is it that the state of North Carolina has a first  round or regional site every year?

There are also a number of perennial teams in the NC area.  And the ACC gets a lot of love with the selection committee...i'd expect a place like Chicago to be a site almost every year as well just because of all the Big Ten and a few Big East teams that are relatively close to it.

Not as ridiculous that UNC, Duke, and/or NC State will play basically at home for two rounds.  Ohh... but it won't be home game. ::)

The Qwest Center is a great facility in Omaha.  Creighton is lucky to play there.  Right in downtown...lots of nice bars and restaurants.  Casinos right across the river in Council Bluffs.  They have done a nice job redoing downtown.  A very nice venue.  Hosting the US Olympic Swim Trials next summer as well.  Had the F4 in Volleyball last year that sold out.  And, of course the NCAA World Series.
