They were using a lot of 40 mike. What makes for a more spectacular visual is laying down 105 rounds on runners. 40 mike creates hamburger meat; 105 leaves ashes.

JDAM is essentially a dumb bomb made smart. But for my line of work it was brutally effective - operationally and financially.

What people might not realize is that all that great gun fire video means that there are 6-8 TACPs on the ground nearby illuminating those targets.

JDAM is a kit that mounts fore and aft on an iron bomb to make it "smart".  Flies to target as one piece.  You are seeing the by-product of a well lazed target

I love how the ROMAD confirms the target is firing his weapon at friendlies and within seconds the sonuvabitch is up with Allah.
