According to ESPN box score IUPUI had 13 offensive rebounds.  Anyone know how many second chance points that led to?

I know that in the second half we gave up 2 offensive rebounds on one possession that led to a 3 pointer for IUPUI.  When playing a zone you can't give up boards like that.

I've got IUPUI down for only 7 second chance points all game (2 in first half, 5 in the second).

13 may sound like a high number, but consider:
+ This was a ~76 possession basketball
+ IUPUI's OR% was 35.1%. You'd like to see it lower, however the fact is last season Marquette gave up greater than 35.1% more often than not in their games
+ IUPUI missed zero free throws (which help increase a defense's rebounding rate because of the advantage they have when a free throw is missed by the opposition)

Not pleased with the 35.1% (and 40.0% in the second half alone vs. 27.8% in the first), but not earth-shattering in the grand scheme of things.

Not to mention that quite a few of the 3s they shot were just awful with the rebounds coming 10-15 feet from the basket. They did give up several under the basket that were due to poor play by MU.

And MU went to an extended zone on the perimeter putting them out of rebounding position.  However, overall, the guards need to be better rebounders.
