BME to MD

We're the official timeouts everytime #35 on Belmont had a cramp a normal thing?  I thought the player had to leave if a timeout was called secondary to injury.

There is talent on this team. Coaching is lacking. Waaaaaaay too many threes taken. Had a clear advantage on the front line. Henry or Fischer should have touched the ball every possession. That is coaching, folks. He can recruit, but I have yet to see anything from wojo in game. Reminds me of Crean. Belmont is solid, but this was a winnable game.

piss poor execution at the end of the game. freshman will learn.

honestly still not sold on wojo's in-game coaching though

Yep.  Total disarray in crunch time.  Freshman can only learn through good coaching and they didn't get it tonight.

Wojo was a new coach so he got slack last season.  But not all good recruiters are good in-game coaches.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Honestly about what I expected. We will be the better team by the end of the season but they just have more experience. Our guys will learn

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Have we won a close game under Wojo yet? I don't remember any.

Earl Tatum

yep, this was a winable game

Why don't you naysayers just crawl into a hole and come out next May?  This was an inexperienced team in their first contest against D-1 (even NCAAT) competition.  They'll be ready for the BEast.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

BOY, DID WISCO LAY AN EGG. THEIR FRESHMEN PLAYED WELL, IT WAS THE UPPER CLASSMEN WHO STUNK. MU HAD TO MUCH HELTER-SKELTER PLAY.

We have zero seniors and played our freshmen quite a bit. Duane has to stop thinking he is Steph Curry and the late-game coaching has to be a little better, but this team is going to fun to watch and dangerous in February/March.

"Same crap, different year"

Too busy stroking Nader shaft that you forgot that?

I'm sorry for actually having friends. Post history shows I'm very optimistic when it comes to MUBB. But way to bring up my friendship with someone that I haven't talked about in 8 months. Stay classy.

And the trolls come out of the woodwork yet again. Even better are the people that have somehow already concluded that Wojo is a poor in-game coach.
MU showed a ton of promise tonight. Belmont is a veteran experienced tourney team. If this was January we would have won the game. Give it time, we will be more than fine. I'm excited.

Yeah, pretty lousy way to start the season.  Don't be surprised if the students lose interest really quickly.
Students?  Hell, I may lose interest.

MilWarrior

Also, Henry had 21 and 16 - and it was obvious that it wasn't even close to his best game. How anyone could have a negative outlook after comparing that game to the last two years of crap we've had to go through is beyond me.

With the way MU played late in games last season and now with the way they played late in the game tonight, the questions about whether Wojo is a good in-game coach are legitimate.

These are very different rosters but the disarray was the same.

You expect one game of a team full of freshman and a season of Buzz's cast-offs to be a legitimate gauge of Wojo's in-game coaching? I think you're overreacting.

Except on the last play when Carter booted the ball out of bounds, he was going to the baseline and it looked like we had someone floating to the opposite corner for what would have been an open 3. He takes one more in control dribble and we probably get off a good shot for the lead.

This board is just unreadable after losses. So much emotion and drama. We sound like a bunch of high school girls.

With the way Carter was dribbling and charging with his head down, I doubt he would have seen anybody.

Matt Carlino's winner against Creighton stands out in my memory. Seton Hall on the road last year. Georgia Tech ended close, but we were comfortable for much of the second half. More close losses than wins, but bear in mind how much of that was last year's team, which simply wasn't very good.

One could question if you have any basketball sense.
