Lost 76-74 to D-III school Augustana.

Heard it was D2 Augustana from SD not the Iowa one. So like the top D2 team.

Still bad though.

At home. In a tournament. Scoring 40 points.

Man, when Marquette loses to Iowa and the Johnnies, Scoop is going to be a fuuuuuuuuuun place to visit.

I can't see them losing to St. Johns. Iowa maybe buy there is no way they should lose to the Johnnies.

People might be placing a little too much emphasis on scrimmages.

Someone clearly doesn't remember their seeding getting hurt because they lost in a secret scrimmage.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Syracuse's season ended when they lost to a DII school in an exhibition.   Oh, wait......      Iowa is going to be very coachable for the next few weeks.

Iowa can be a VERY good team. Quality roster - talent and experience at multiple positions. Dangerous.

" Augustana enters the new season ranked No. 1 in the NABC Division II Top 25 poll thanks to the return of five starters from a team that went 31-3 last season."
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

So, an experienced team that would be ahead of several D-I teams.  Lucky we're not playing them on Monday, or Scoop could have been in full meltdown mode before the regular season started.

This Iowa team looks like it will out-Wisconsin, Wisconsin this year.

That Iowa team plays at a pace Wisconsin can only dream of.

Yeah, now that you mention it, that's a significant difference.  The three point shooting was reminiscent of Wisco at its best (worst).
