Back on Campus....

Stopped by Caffrey's on campus after the game...pretty decent crowd out considering finals week.  About 11ish or so, Ooze stopped in the bar to visit a friend, and well....

....the entire bar put down their drinks and all the students and alums in attendance gave Ooze a standing ovation as he walked in.  I think Ous was a little sheepish by the reponse he got (I've never seen this happen with a Marquette player in a campus bar before).  Fantastic way to end the day.

The only other time I've sen something like this was after we beat Kentucky in '03, and the entire team (including Wade) showed up at - of all places - Angelo's.

It happened quite a bit back in the late 70's.  A bunch of the players used to show up at The GYM in their fur coats.  I wonder why all the nice looking women were hanging around them.  Us guys always said congrats and wished they would leave!!
