Celtic Truth

The Boston media and fans are really taking to Jae. And the celtics love what he brings to the table, Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens are thrilled with him. The author compared his toughness and leadership to that of KG.

I loved watching Jae play -- especially as he gained confidence Sr year during the BEast season.  Couldn't be happier for him.

Yep, Jar was my favorite MU player in the 12 or so years I've watched them.  I am a sucker for efficient, gritty Jack of all trade players like him.

Jae's reading the league in steals so far this year with 3.4 per game. He's got almost a full steal per game more than the next player.

And maybe not Japanese but Scooby-Doo!

I loved how Jae played. We need to find someone like him again.

Jae was just the college reincarnation of Hayward. Almost the same stats, same build, height, game etc
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Does Jae have an aquarium that looks like a Boombox too?

He was more than Hayward his senior year.  Hayward was a very soild player, but Jae was a jack of all trades, and master of a few.  He was Big East Player of the Year.  He developed about as much as any player, from JC to a solid NBA player with great heart.

I respectfully disagree.

Jae's senior year he averaged:

17.5ppg 8.4rpg 2.1apg

Zar averaged

18.1ppg 7.5rpg 1.5 apg

Doesn't seem like they were that different. And Jae's top of the key trailer 3 was Zar's move first.

Efficiency is an important factor to consider, especially when two players have similar games and style of play.  Jae shot better than 48% from the field both years he played, while Lazar shot 46% his junior year and 43% his senior year.  Clearly, his efficiency suffered when given such a large role.  Crowder's did not comparatively.  Also, Crowder's intangibles (steals, blocks, overall defense) were better.

And Zar didn't intimidate the opposing team.

Predator did.
