Back to basketball, has anybody seen Traci Carter play or for that matter the other freshman?

Haven't had a chance to watch them, but I've been told the staff is very pleased with Carter and Anim thus far. Both need to become a little more consistent with their outside shooting, though Traci is farther ahead in that regard. They're pushing the vets in the workouts, which is a great thing.

Heldt, Cheatham, and Ellenson arrived this weekend. I'll hear more about them in the next week or two.

You mean they are pushing Cohen, JJJ and Wilson around, not many veterans on this team.  Lots of playing time for the frosh next year.

I didn't say that. I meant their effort level is pushing (as in motivating) the returning guys to continue to work hard.

I was up in Milwaukee this weekend for Summerfest and ran into my manager buddy, who told me the staff has been thrilled with Traci so far.  That he very well could be in line to start (albeit, super early), which is what I/we were all hoping for when he committed back in March.  Traci has definitely been the talk of early camp, but Sacar has also been very impressive (something along the lines of "he does pretty much everything right, just has some way to go before he reaches that full potential").  Again, like we thought, it sounds like he will get some decent run but that like Junior year is when he'll really take off.  Also was told that guys have bought in more than ever before (JJ and Duane).  Especially Jajuan.  There's a real sense of urgency and pride in them being two of the elder statesmen, and they've taken practices and camp more seriously than any year before.  So far so good, and can't wait for the rest of the guys to show up this week.

GGGG

JJJ was never going to leave.  I am not surprised he is working hard and IMO could be in for a surprisingly nice jump in production.

Yeah I always said this. Idk why everyone was so convinced so often that he was bolting.

I still think he really surprises people. Not a vander level of jump. But along those lines.

Also really like what keeps being said about Sacar.

It's looking like what many of us thought. A kid with still a lot to work on but capable of doing pretty much everything so he could blossom into something great.

Actually hoping most of his development is in practice this year because it will mean guys like Sandy and JJJ really took a big step forward as well as Haanif doing well out of the gates
