I actually had to look up where Gresham is.  Dude can shoot the ball.

Nice to have Hugh's kid on board. Should help improve the scenery 'round campus, ai na?

Fantastic.  Welcome to the Warriors Christian.

Looks like he can ball a bit:

Named the Central Wisconsin Conference-10 Player of the Year as a senior at Gresham High School under head coach Jeff Zobeck ... Concluded career with 1,712 points and was a four-year varsity letterwinner ... Unanimous all-state honoree by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association ... Averaged 26.7 points, 5.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds for the Wildcats and helped the program to a 21-4 overall record and 10-3 conference mark ... Led all Division 5 players in the state in 3-point field goal percentage (.490) ... First team all-league selection as a junior after averaging 19.6 points per game ... Second team all-conference honoree as a sophomore ... Also played soccer and baseball all four years in high school and was all-league performer in multiple seasons.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

The Programs is headed in the right direction when you can pull this kind of talent as walk on.  I expect to see more minutes from him than from most walk-on.

 Welcome aboard Christian!

 Now awaiting Washington.

His dad had a lot of power, but never lived up to his potential.

Let's not go crazy here.  Lighting it up as a D5 high school player in northern Wisconsin doesn't mean it translates to D1 basketball.

+1

I expect to see more minutes from him as I think this team is better than last year's team so I expect MU to be up by 20+ in the final two minutes of "buy games" and he'll get one minute on the floor (and maybe one shot attempt).

Can you recall a walk on with similar stats??  The parade hasn't started and I'm starting to feel raindrops.

A whole game instead of highlight reel, but it says he put up 47: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ck9yhB2rzoU

Looks like some Duke love on his Twitter (probably stemming from Badger hate) https://twitter.com/christianhaff3

Robert Frozena averaged 24.0 ppg as a senior at a school that is a division larger.

Did you see the competition the kid is playing against?  He will be what he will be, a walk-on with some talent.

Was Christian recruited by any D-1 schools?

Dave Singleton had some nice HS stats.  Sharp dresser on the bench too.

I would guess that all walk-ons had good HS stats.

Just D3.

Nice sniff out by Wojo to find a kid that can walk-on and practice without holding the others back, and either liked the idea of walking-on at a D1 school or already settled on MU for the academic fit and was offered the spot this early.
