Ironic that the courtside billboard read 'Unbroken'.

Hitting the shot was adding insult to injury. Wouldn't get the same airplay if he didn't make the 3, but it doesn't change how impressive the move was.

After he graduated I loved watching him in the Pro Am. No coach to slow him down, so he could do whatever he wanted. Plus you sit so close you could see how fast he really was. I nicknamed him the one man show.

DB was insane at the Pro Am. Just ridiculous playground skills that made him a god in that environment. Glad he went to Europe, because he needed to refine that playground mentality, and two years under Buzz certainly didn't do that even remotely. Still, it is pretty damn cool to see his playground skills surface at the NBA level. Glad he now has the overall game to show them off occasionally.

Garbage time or not, that was a nasty move.

I checked the box score, he actually played 33 min.  Granted its an undermanned Lakers team right now, but he only averaged 14 the prior 3 games.

Through 4 games, he's avg 9.3 pts, 2.5 reb, 1.5 assists, 55% from the floor and he's 6-7 from 3.  Literally doing everything you could possibly do out of a 10 day.  Also like that once he got that 33 min of run, his numbers backed it up.

He's only 26, I could see him getting picked up in that 5th guard role again next year if he puts another 2 games like this.  Hell, I'd love him in the back-up scoring PG role the Bulls have.  He's not Aaron Brooks/DJ Augustin, but he's on par with E'Twaun Moore

Thanks for posting this.  I love the crowd's reaction.

I saw the headline 'Lakers guard breaks opponent's ankles with sick move' and thought to myself "I really hope that was Buycks."  Thankfully it was and it was great.

Nukem2

As he did at MU, the move was to his left.  Always remember his big game against Notre Dame at the BC.  Everything was going to his left....

Are you saying Harris didn't do enough film study on Buycks?

Is it me or did Buycks shuffle his feet before getting set on his shot?

Would have been a petty call by the ref, but a lot of movement there.

Lifetime lakers fan (live in MKE now so I am enjoying the bucks too), love an MU guy on the lakers.  First time I think since I went to school, hope he sticks, does not have much competition currently.

DJO was on the lakers two years ago.

Reminds me of...was it AJ Price?  Who did that to Jerel?  Maybe even in the same game that DJ broke his foot?

looks like Buycks is breaking 3200 Facebook Shares - thanks again for posting
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).
