Is there somewhere to rewatch the press conference?

Bucky's conference style of play hurts them.
  • B1G FPG: 10.8
  • Non-Con FPG: 14.3
  • NCAA FPG:  16.2

No Cryan against UNC (18) or AZ (21) when Bucky committed more fouls than in the loss versus Duke. The B1G style of officiating kills the conference in post-season.

yikes. this is getting really bad.

Love this though

Bo Ryan is so against the rent-a-player idea he wouldn't even let his own guy transfer.

Which is all the more hilarious considering he was recruiting Diamond as much (or more so?) as anyone else

Is this not the ideal Marquette outcome? UW goes to the biggest stage to not only lose in front of the biggest audience, but look petty as hell with the Stone backlash, and have Bo's glorious sportsmanship on display for all to see.

To be fair, I just saw the full quote and he was talking about graduate transfers at least in that sense.

First game in forever that Wisconsin didn't get the vast majority of calls and Bo whines.    So classic, so typical, so revealing in character.   The badger coaches, players, and fanbase don't know what an evenly called game looks like, so I guess it is understandable that they would consider it unfair.

Because of a basketball play where you leaned into a driving shooter.   Yes, being a badger, it is the first time the call has ever gone against you so I understand your surprise.

Because you received insufficient help after you let him toast you with the drive.

Why? Because the Duke player intentionally drove his arm into your face while attempting a shot, just like Coach K drew it up of course.

Does that whole team just whine whine whine? They had so many calls go their way, Okafor was in foul trouble all game!! Then they still whine about calls? Wow. Just. Wow. Even their fans are complaining about the "ref show" tonight. Ridiculous. The refs were terrible either way but in no way did it give Duke an advantage.

My thoughts about the officiating and reactions.

1.  Wow does Kaminsky get the star treatment.  Breathing on him is a foul.  Travel...what travel (took 4 steps on the play that led to Okafor's 4th.  Never a foul on Kaminsky.

2.  Badgers are not Classy.  The whole team jumps around after every single call like it was the worst call in history.  Duje if I read lips properly, telling Tyus (charge call) that Tyus' D was a bitch move.

3.  I can't believe Bo and company aren't called for a T every game.

i absolutely hate duke and coach k...and that's from a sports standpoint where it's fun to have teams you like and dislike.  so it was a tough game to decide who to pull for...i went into it not liking either team.  by the end of the game bo and the badgers made duke look like the classiest bunch of kids/coaches on the planet.

bo got out-coached and out-classed.  at halftime coach k. said they "couldn't get UW to foul them, and they needed to do a better job of that in the 2nd half."  in the 2nd half they did so....he didn't say the refs wouldn't call fouls on UW (as bo claimed relentlessly at the end of the game), he gave the credit to UW, and rather than complain about the way the refs were calling the game, he placed the blame on his team for not "getting UW to foul them."  the complaining on bo's end at the end of the game was typical bo.  i don't think bo is remotely capable of entertaining the thought that they lost because he got out-coached, but coach k. once again showed why an athletic team that plays a smart game can beat the swing no matter how much talent UW had this year.

the audacity to complain repeatedly about the refs was amazing...especially after the freebies in the kentucky game.  bo is a great coach, but even a greater pretty boy.  would have loved a question regarding graduation rates at UW thrown in the mix when he was complaining about "rent-a-players" as well.

If you didn't know already, postgame reactions by coach, players and fans is why being a Marquette fan in Wisconsin brings out my admittedly unhealthy hatred of the rodents. They are truly insufferable and they are everywhere. I hope those that don't live in Wisconsin and couldn't understand the level of our loathing got some perspective on what we have to deal with.

Have to admit, I'm looking forward to rationally countering anyone that tries to propagate the Bo line of BS this week.

Sounds like he is saying they practice flopping.   Which would explain the Bill Laimbeer-esque looks of disbelief whenever an official has the audacity to call a foul on Wiscy.
